Full description

A slim daily backpack that grows into a weekend bag. Day to day it carries 20 L. Let out the four side buckles and it expands up to 35 L for a con haul or a weekend away. Your pins ride up front the whole time, behind a clear window.

Slim for the commute, roomy for the trip
The bag expands and compresses with 4 plastic buckles on nylon straps. Tighten them for a normal day, let them out when you're packing for a trip. The depth goes from 10 cm to about 24 cm: 20 L buckled in, up to 35 L let all the way out. The buckles are the only way it expands.

Your pins, swapped without unpacking
The clear PVC window shows 16 x 16 cm and sits about 3 cm deep, room for up to 30 small pins. Three metal D-rings inside the window hold charms and keychains. The pin pad (18 x 22 cm) attaches with Velcro, and you reach it through a hidden zip pocket above the window, so a new layout doesn't mean emptying the bag. One trade-off: packed out to 35 L, the bag takes some of the window's depth, so flat pins travel better than chunky plushes on a big trip.

Easy on your back on a long travel day
Vented, padded back panel and a chest strap. The backpack straps reach 23 to 45 cm from the back of the bag to the front of your chest. A luggage strap slides it over your suitcase handle at the airport. There's a plastic D-ring on each backpack strap and 6 nylon utility loops on the front above the window for clipping on extras.

Built for travel
Thick Oxford nylon outside that shrugs off light rain, and a polyester lining. It weighs 1.2 kg empty.

Our B-grade Expandable ITA Backpacks are real units that worked as display samples at conventions or in our studio. Same Oxford nylon, same buckles, same pockets, with the cosmetic marks that come from being put to work.

A B-grade bag may show one or more of these:

Light surface scratches on the PVC window
Minor scuffs or marks on the Oxford nylon
Small cosmetic marks on zips, clips or buckles
Slight wear on the pin pad or lining

These are cosmetic only and don't change how the bag works or lasts. We check every B-grade bag before listing, and any specific condition notes go in the variant description.

B-grade bags are final sale: no change of mind returns, and no exchange for the disclosed cosmetic condition. All other standard warranty terms apply.

Care: Wipe the window and body with a soft, damp microfibre cloth. Avoid resting the bag window-side down or sliding it against hard or sharp edges, as pressure from pins behind the window can cause scratches.
