17" 4-Way Water-Resistant Durable ITA Bag (Backpack/Shoulder/Tote/Laptop bag)

A 17" ITA bag you can carry four ways: backpack, shoulder bag, tote or laptop bag. It has a scratch-resistant TPU pin window, a water-repellent TPU-coated shell, 20 attachment points for charms and two removable pin pads in the box.

We read the feedback on our own bags and on the ITA bags out there, then spent months of testing fixing every pain point we could. Most display bags are great at a con and awkward everywhere else. This one goes from the office to the train to the con floor, and you don't have to baby it.

Carry modes

• Backpack. Padded straps with 4x reinforced stitching where they meet the bag.
• Shoulder bag. Detachable padded strap, adjustable from 96 to 138 cm (37.8 to 54.3 in).
• Tote. Two top handles that extend and adjust.
• Laptop and travel bag. Straps tucked away, padded 17" laptop sleeve, and a luggage strap that slides over your suitcase handle.

The backpack straps click off, tuck in and zip away into the back panel. Nothing dangles when you carry it as a tote or a shoulder bag.

Display

• Scratch-resistant TPU window, 27 × 28 cm (10.6 × 11 in). It stands up to everyday knocks from keys, pins and bumps, so it keeps its clarity without babying, and it's safe to lean back on. Designed for everyday use: rough surfaces like concrete or brick can still mark it.
• The window zip opens on 3 sides, so you can rearrange your layout without emptying the bag.
• 2 removable pin pads, 33 × 30 cm (13 × 11.8 in), held on strong hook and loop. Build a second layout at home and swap the whole display in one go.
• Rubber, butterfly, locking and safety pin backs all work.
• D-rings inside the window, so charms hang protected behind the TPU.
• Room for plushes and figures: about 2 to 6 cm (0.8 to 2.4 in) of depth behind the window, depending on how full the bag is.
• Minimal mode. Take the pad out and the front becomes a normal quick-access pocket.

20 attachment points

Loops for large accessories, D-rings for charms and plush, and clasps on the zip pulls for small keychains. Inside the window and out on the body. Lobster clasps, swivel clasps, split rings, ball chains and phone straps all clip on.

Protection

• Water-repellent TPU-coated nylon shell. It's the same kind of soft, rubbery coating premium rain jackets use, and it wipes clean.
• Water-resistant zips sit covered when closed. They help keep rain and spills out, so your pins stay rust-free and your tech stays dry, and they protect the zip teeth.
• The coating doesn't crack or peel the way PU leather does, and it resists everyday scuffs.
• The window is TPU, the material drop-resistant phone cases use. It bounces back from folding instead of creasing like PVC, and resists fogging and yellowing.
• No chemical smell out of the box. Nylon and TPU don't off-gas like PU leather.

It's water-repellent, not a dry bag. Fine in the rain, not for a swim.

Security and travel

• Anti-theft zip clasps lock the zip pulls together, so the bag is hard to open in a crowd.
• Hidden back pocket that sits flat against your back, for your phone, passport or cash.
• Luggage strap for hands-free airports. Cabin friendly.

Comfort

• Breathable yoga foam back panel with mesh. Ventilated and padded, so your back stays cooler.
• Padded back straps and a padded shoulder strap.
• Tote handles, back straps and shoulder strap all adjust. The back straps cover a wide range, 18 to 44 cm (7.1 to 17.3 in).

Organisation

Fits a minimal day or a packed getaway.

• Main compartment opens wide. Shove everything in.
• A padded 17" sleeve and a 16" sleeve, each fits 2 devices. Up to 4 devices at once, with an elastic strap that holds A4 documents or a large device snug.
• 2 deep inner pockets, 12 × 12 cm (4.7 × 4.7 in), for things up to 24 cm (9.4 in) tall.
• Mesh pocket, 29 × 13 cm (11.4 × 5.1 in).
• Insulated, foil-lined cooler pocket that keeps a drink cold or wet things apart.
• Elastic bottle pocket, 21 cm (8.3 in) deep and 13 cm (5.1 in) wide, for a full-size bottle or an umbrella.
• Back pocket that stores the backpack straps and shoulder strap.
• A separate front display compartment, so pin backs never scratch your things.

A 15" laptop, a 12" tablet, a handheld console and an A4 notebook fit at once, with room left for a jumper, a bottle and the charger you forgot last time.

Durability

Bags fail at their weak points, so that's where we spent the money.

• 4x reinforced stitching at the top and base of the back straps and at the handles, with extra reinforcement fabric at the strap ends.
• Foam-backed lining throughout. It holds its shape, protects what's inside and never looks saggy.
• Fully lined pockets with reinforced seams. Get rough with them.
• Metal clasps and D-rings that carry more weight.
• Thick, tear-resistant polyester lining.

Ships from Sydney. Australian orders include GST. International orders may attract local VAT or duties on arrival, which are set by your country.

Every bag comes with a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects, on top of your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If yours arrives damaged or develops a fault, email us and we'll repair, replace or refund it.

FAQ

What is an ITA bag?
A bag with a clear window on the front so you can display pins, charms, keychains, plushes or art. It started in Japanese street fashion. The rest of this bag is a normal, very good backpack.

Will my pins damage the bag?
No. Pins go on the removable pad, not through the bag. Two pads are included so you can keep two layouts ready.

Can it handle rain?
The TPU-coated shell is water-repellent and the zips are water-resistant and covered when closed. It handles rain and spills. It's not a dry bag, so don't swim with your laptop in it.

Can I use it without the pin pad?
Yes. Take both pads out and the front works as a normal pocket on a plain 17 inch bag.

Does it fit under an aeroplane seat?
It's cabin friendly and has a luggage strap for your suitcase handle. Under-seat fit depends on the airline, so check their dimensions against ours.
